DHL sucks

Hi Dmitry,

I never had any bad experiences with Amazon and DHL. It\'s more the opposite. The delivery is very fast inside Germany with DHL! And they deliver to the door, too.

Only one single DVD never arrived at me. That was one order out of approx. 100. The packages also arrived at me when I accidentely entered a wrong house number.

UPS might be bigger in general but it has it\'s focus on the US and not europe. Anyway, you might had bad luck this time but I don\'t think that you should say that one suck based on a single experience.

And by the way, did you know that it\'s much easier to find negative feedback that positive in the internet. That\'s why people can better remember bad experiences. And the more they are stressed by the situation the bigger chance is that thye publish something negative somewhere.

Well, I agree that it is easier to find negative feedbacks. I used DHL to send correspondence to other countries twice and they were not very good at delivering it: either left near the door (could be stollen by anyone!) or just left the label that they tried to deliver. They never call before delivering, nor redeliver.

I agree.The DHL sucks more than babies suck their thumbs.Their staffs are all incompetent and some even thieve away valuable packages.I had a friend of mine send me a phone and some travel papers through DHL i even tracked it by the net and it went everywhere but to me.the DHl people stole my package at the airport and even their boss said so.yet they never know who did it plus they are still holding back on refunding me for my lost package.The worst is that this is ongoing and I'm not even close to being the worst case.I say DHL is the cheapest excuse for a delivery company and i will chose UPS or FEDEX anytime over DHL

I sent two packages last week to Brazil via DHL; one arrived on time. The other has spent a week bouncing back and forth between Mexico City (yes Mexico City) and Cincinnati, OH. I have spoken to about 10 different people all of whom were very nice and promised to take care of the problem. The package is on its third trip to Mexico today. And, still, no one has fixed the problems. Of course, I did get another promise today. Is that progress?

2- enter delivery address
3- we burn the CD - DVD and deliver overnight

Stupid DHL.I received my package after 1 whole month from Amazon.Royal Mail of UK is the fastest mail of the world.

DHL indeed sucks bad. I ordered some books from Amazon through DHL.. and guess what.. they didn't even deliver them to my address!! They just called my cell phone and asked me to pick them up from a neighboring town nearly a hundred miles away 'coz they don't deliver in our city, even with its population of over ten million!!! So I had to travel all the way there and back, just to get those books that I would rather have got via regular mail, instead of paying for those extra courier charges!!

That was a couple of years ago. Now I've dared to use Amazon and DHL combo again.. and.. this time they've even screwed the address. After searching tirelessly for their particular website on the internet, and having found it.. I get this message.. Address information needed; contact DHL!! It turns out that they missed out an entire line in the address given on Amazon. So instead of contacting the customer via the cell phone number provided.. they very graciously mentioned on their hard to find website that they need the address information. What if I hadn't checked the website?? Similarly what if I had decided against making that two hundred mile return trip two years back to get my books????

What kind of company is this????? Absolutely pathetic in its modus operandi and customer service. Makes one think how far evolved are the people running it from our primate ancestors. The worst courier service on earth!!!!!!!

I found you while googling. I had the bad idea of buying a set of books from Amazon UK. They sent it by HDL and they lost my package twice: the first order and the replacement. Can you believe they don't know where Brazil is??? That is the only explanation I can think of.
