Yesterday I installed Snow Leopard. Here is what I liked:

Exposé in Dock
Minimize to the same icon instead of adding extra icon to the Dock
Loads and in general works faster
Remembers language settings for each application. Now I can type in Russian in Skype, in Latvia in the web browser and in English in NetBeans without using language switch

What I did not like:

Safari plugins lost
huge icons in stacks with no way to make them smaller
PHP 5.3 and no way to downgrade to 5.2.x

It took 1 hour 15 minutes to update my MacBook Pro. In general it was a good update.

I upgraded as well a couple of weeks ago, and only today I downgraded PHP (or actually recompiled PHP, since Magento doesn't like PHP 5.3). And heaps of deprecated warnings as well, which can be turned off :-)

I upgraded a couple of weeks ago. Took me over a week to get my (HP) printer to work again. The scanner is still not working...

I like the shutdown speed, really a lot faster than before!

You also can simply install PHP 5.2.x via Macports using "sudo port install php52", this worked perfectly fine for my local Typo3-Development-Enviroment.

Guys, you can turn off deprecation warnings with 5.3. Here is how it is in my php.ini:

error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED

Regarding Magento: there is a solution in the Magento forum. Basically it is one method change: __toString should be renamed to __invoke.

Steffen, yes I thought about that but Macports version comes without pdo_mysql.

I updated to Snow Leopard. At first everything seem to work fine with Apples PHP Version but the GD Lib seems to be different from the Entropy Php Package. It cannot render fonts. How did you fix this?
