FAQ

This page lists certain frequently asked questions that I am tired to answer personally. Therefore I grouped them here for everybody's access.

E–mail: "Here is translation for extension..."

Extension translations happen only on the TYPO3 translation server. They are not sent by e–mail to the author and not added to extensions because extensions contain only English languages. This is TYPO3 rule.

Please, refer to typo3.org for the information about translator mailing lists. You will find all information about translating extensions there.

As to the e–mails with translations attached, they sadly go to trash. No other choice.

E-mail: "I found a bug in your extension"

Bugs should be reported to the bug tracker. TYPO3 has two bug trackers:

Depending on the extension it can be in any of these two but most likely in the second. If it is not there, than it is probably in Mantis.

How do I...?

Firsts, I do not consult for free. The reason for this is that lots of companies and freelancers try to give my advises and use them in their business. I also need to earn money, so these days I charge everybody for getting answers. I gave lots of information for free to everybody in the past but not anymore. I am sorry.

If you'd like a free help, please, ask in TYPO3 mailing lists.

RealURL creates links like http://example.com/12

When you have a web site, you can access it in a number of ways. Usually it is like www.example.com but some may use just example.com. In your RealURL configuration you configured one way and forgot the other. When one domain is not configured, it gets default URLs, which are just numbers, not paths.

Solution: configure that secondary domain (how?).

Where are TYPO3 mailing lists?

Where can I get free TYPO3 help?
